Earnings Season: 10 Stocks That Report This Week
We grabbed some of the most-traded stocks that will be releasing earnings this week, including Starbucks (SBUX), Meta Platforms (META), Microsoft (MSFT) and Qualcomm QCOM.
In the below chart, the blue stocks are expected to announce earnings before the open, while orange stocks are expected to announce after the close of the market.
Below are the biggest movers after earnings. They include Delta (DAL), which moved 23% the day after earnings, which was apparently a big surprise.
UnitedHealth Group (UNH) was the biggest decliner.
Palantir (PLTR) is going strong—up 22% this week. Tesla (TSLA) is up 20%.
Biggest decliners this week are the following:
Apple (AAPL) has been one of the leaders in the recent bounce back in the market. It’s often cited as one of the stocks with "tariff issues,” and maybe that's already baked into the current stock price. Volatility is relatively high, and if you think it might be a bit inflated going into itd earnings report after the close of the market tomorrow, you might try a wide iron condor short the 200/185 put spread and the 220/235 call spread leanings slightly short delta with short vega.
Meta Platforms (META) broke records back in February with a 20-day straight up move. Since then, the stock is down roughly 25% from the high and down 8% on the year net. It's one of the higher-volatility Magnificent Seven stocks, and its earnings announcement is coming after the close today. If you’re neutral to bullish, you might consider a May monthly short put spread 500/485 trades at around $2.70 with strikes near the lows of the year.
